Complete Jewish Bible: An English Version by David H. Stern - Updated David H. Stern (Translator)
Description From The Publisher: For those who have enjoyed Dr. Stern's Jewish New Testament you will be pleased to hear that the Complete Jewish Bible has been completed. This Bible provides a comprehensive introduction, explaining how this Bible came to be and how to get the most out of reading it; an excellent pronunciation glossary; and detailed maps to aid in understanding historical events. A unique feature of this translation is that it follows the Hebrew Bible order of the Tanakh - the order with which Jesus (Yeshua) was familiar. I makes no separation between the Old and New Testaments. The Complete Jewish Bible shows that the Word of God, from Genesis to Revelation, is a unified book.Translation Sample

Customer Reviews Write your own online review. A Revealing Translation July 15, 2007 Reviewer: Lawrence Reves from Palm Bay, Fl. USA United States I discovered this translation through a Messianic congregation that met at our church in St. Louis Park, Mn. I found that, once I got used to the Hebrew vernacular, this version read well. I learned so much more about the writings of Paul through this. As well, it gives a greater clarification into the Lord's meaning of certain events when you know what the Hebrew terminology and the FULL translation of the verses actually are. I would fully recommend this to anyone who wishes to familiarize themselves with the actual meanings of so many passages. I now live in central Fl., where our church is a Baptist church, which uses only the KJV from the pulpit. I've found a richer understanding of what the pastor is speaking on through using this alongside the KJV.
