Palenque is an educational family board game is based on the ancient "city of splendor" built by the Maya many centuries ago.

The Archaeological TeamFour world famous rival archaeologists are about to embark upon an adventure which will take them into the heart of Central America. Hidden deep among the flora and the fauna of the tropical rain forest, lies the ruins of the ancient city of Palenque. There the four explorers encounter mysteries, intrigue, and danger as they search the ancient temples for the hidden treasures of the Maya.

The year is 1925 . . . . You are about to enter the ancient "city of splendor." Hidden deep in the tropical forest of Chiapas in Mexico, Palenque has been silent for centuries.

Cross the ancient stone plaza if you can ... enter sacred temples if you dare ... and be the first explorer to find the priceless treasure of the Maya .... But beware the sacrificial "cenote" ... and never ever enter the sacred "ball court" ... Danger is ever present in the city that slept for over a thousand years . . . . .

Palenque Game
Palenque, a museum quality board game, features a large beautifully detailed playing board (29"x29") as well as four cast figures (2½" high), eight decks of cards, expedition records, wooden dice, and more. Palenque also features 20,000 words describing the mystery of the ancient Mayan including their signs and symbols, myths and magic. Palenque is a game of strategy, bluffing, and memory.

How Palenque is Played:
Each archaeologist must recover certain treasures from the ancient Maya temples and be the first to return to the "Great Palace" to capture a prize each is willing to risk his/her life for.

A keen memory and a “poker” face are needed to win this museum quality educational board game adventure. “Palenque” is a true inter-active game of fun for the entire family. 2 to 4 players, ages 8 to 108. Playing time 2 hours+.
